Tracking wolves in Sweden is an awesome way to get up close to one of the wildest animals in Europe.

Sweden’s huge forests and quiet wilderness are perfect homes for wolves, especially in places like Värmland and Dalarna. These tours usually happen early in the morning or around dusk, when wolves are most active, and the forest feels super peaceful and mysterious.

You’ll be with a local guide who knows all the tricks — they’ll teach you how to spot fresh wolf tracks in the snow or dirt, tell the difference from other animals’ footprints, and even how to read signs like scat or scent marks.
