If you’re an experienced shark diver who thinks they’ve seen it all, here’s an idea for you - snorkeling with Porbeagle sharks in Brittany.
These apex predators, often called the "wolves of the sea," are a species of lamnid shark, closely related to the iconic Great White, Mako, and Salmon Shark.
With their muscular build and sleek form, Porbeagles are known for their speed and agility, powered by their ability to maintain a body temperature higher than the surrounding water.
Porbeagle sharks are found in the Atlantic and South Pacific, but divers rarely encounter them due to their preference for open ocean and deep waters. However, during a short period each summer, these remarkable sharks gather in large numbers in the shallow waters off Brittany, northwest France.
This location is a rare hotspot, the only place in the world where Porbeagles are commonly seen, making it a prime destination for those seeking an up-close encounter with these incredible creatures.
