HIKING

Is this the best 3-mile hike in the world?

Photo: At Home in Wild Spaces

If you're like us, nature is your all-time favorite artist. Some of her most impressive works of art can be seen by hiking the Navajo Trail in Utah's Bryce Canyon National Park.

From the trailhead, you'll make your way down through switchbacks, surrounded by towering walls of colorful limestone. The trail takes you through Douglas-fir trees and past the park's most famous hoodoo, Thor's Hammer.

Water and ice have sculpted the park into the wonderland it is today. Melting snow and torrential rain erode the softer stone and carry it downhill, leaving behind massive slabs of standing rock. Ice cracks this rock apart as it freezes and thaws, weathering it into fins and hoodoos that spark curiosity and imagination.

Watch this: Hiking the Navajo Trail to find out why the National Parks Service named this trail the "best three-mile hike in the world".

DIVING

The shore diving capital of the world

Photo: Jennifer O'Neil

Imagine suiting up on the beach and slipping into warm, crystal-clear waters with little to no current. It's just you and your dive buddy. You descend and swim over colorful corals and are surrounded by schools of fish.

Diving from the shore has plenty of perks. Say goodbye to early wake up calls, sea sickness and overcrowded dive boats.

The best place in the world to shore dive is without a doubt Bonaire. This Caribbean Dutch island has over 60 official dive sites, incredible viz (100 ft+) and warm water year around (average of 80 degrees). Watch this: Caribbean's Best Diving to see for yourself why Bonaire is the shore diving capital of the world.

FILM

The Last Tepui

Photo: Taylor Rees

Mysterious towering tepuis in South America have been the inspiration for movies such as Avatar and Up, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's novel The Lost World.

They are sort of islands in the sky surrounded by dense jungle. Not many scientists have been able to study this unique biosphere, until now.

In The Last Tepui, streaming on Disney+, Alex Honnold delivers legendary biologist Bruce Means to the top of a tepui, via a first ascent on a 1,000ft wall. They are on a mission to search for the cliff wall for undiscovered animal species.
