CYCLING
Cycling the Jordan Trail
Stretching about 400 miles (650 km) from the hills of Um Qais in the north to the Red Sea in Aqaba, the Jordan Trail takes you through everything from ancient ruins and desert canyons to remote villages and rolling farmland.
It’s a mix of paved roads, rough tracks, and dirt trails—challenging, but incredibly rewarding.
You’ll ride past famous sites like Jerash, Petra, and Wadi Rum, but some of the best parts are the quiet stretches in between—olive groves, sweeping views, and locals offering tea and a smile.
Spring and fall are the best times to go, with milder weather and stunning scenery.
Some cyclists go self-supported, but many team up with local outfitters who can help with logistics, gear, and insider knowledge.
Whether you ride a section or go all in, the Jordan Trail offers an unforgettable way to experience the heart of the country.

EDITOR’S PICK
For the Parents who Love to Bike
If you’ve got a little one and love biking as much as we do, I highly recommend the Thule Yepp 2 Mini Front bike seat. We’ve been using ours for over six months and honestly, we love it.
At first I thought it was a bit pricey for a bike seat but this thing is super solid, clicks easily onto a mountain bike, and is seriously comfy for our daughter. My husband Antonio looks like the coolest dad on the trail and the smiling face of my daughter when riding on it....well, that's priceless.

REMOTE PLACES
Wilkins Ice Shelf
Visiting the Wilkins Ice Shelf feels like stepping into another world—one that's wild, quiet, and completely untouched.
It’s way out on the western side of the Antarctic Peninsula, and getting there isn’t easy. Most people only ever see it from research ships or on special expedition cruises.
The ice seems to stretch forever, with huge cliffs and cracked sheets floating on the sea. It’s eerily quiet, except for the creaking and cracking of the ice shifting beneath you.
You might spot a seal or a few seabirds, but this isn’t a place packed with wildlife—it's more about the raw, epic landscape.
This isn’t your typical vacation spot.
It’s not about checking off landmarks or taking a bunch of selfies. It’s about feeling the scale of the planet, and maybe walking away with a deeper understanding of how connected everything really is.

WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS
Wolf Tracking in Sweden
Tracking wolves in Sweden is an awesome way to get up close to one of the wildest animals in Europe.
Sweden’s huge forests and quiet wilderness are perfect homes for wolves, especially in places like Värmland and Dalarna. These tours usually happen early in the morning or around dusk, when wolves are most active, and the forest feels super peaceful and mysterious.
You’ll be with a local guide who knows all the tricks — they’ll teach you how to spot fresh wolf tracks in the snow or dirt, tell the difference from other animals’ footprints, and even how to read signs like scat or scent marks.
Sometimes, if you’re lucky, you might hear wolves howling in the distance. Actually seeing one is pretty rare since they’re shy and avoid people, but just following their tracks and knowing they’re nearby is pretty thrilling.
It’s not just about the chase, though. Tracking wolves in Sweden is a great way to understand how important they are to the forest ecosystem and why conservation matters.
If you love wildlife and being out in nature, going on a wolf tracking trip here is definitely something special.
