Diving in the Daymaniyat Islands is a must for underwater explorers visiting Oman. Just off the coast of Muscat, this UNESCO-protected marine reserve is famous for its colorful coral reefs, crystal-clear waters, and incredible marine life.

If you’re hoping to spot bigger marine life, the Daymaniyats deliver. Between September and November, whale sharks often cruise through, and divers frequently see reef sharks, rays, and even the occasional leopard shark.

Popular dive sites include Aquarium, great for beginners with loads of fish, and Three Sisters, loved for its coral pinnacles and macro critters. For experienced divers, the Garden of Eden stands out for its interesting coral formations.

Since the islands are a protected reserve, you’ll need a permit to dive here, which helps keep this spot pristine. Most trips are run from Muscat, with options for day trips or liveaboards.
