Summiting the roof of the Americas

At 22,840 feet, Aconcagua is the highest mountain outside of the Himalayas. Unlike other giant peaks like Everest, Denali, or K2, climbing Aconcagua doesn't require any mountaineering experience. Because the summit can be reached by trekking alone, it's often referred to as a gentle giant. While technical skills aren't required for the ascent of Aconcagua, you'll need plenty of endurance, stamina, and strength to reach the top.

If you can push through strong chilly wind and head-pounding altitude, you'll be rewarded with a sweeping view of the Andes mountain range looking out across Chile.

This peak is the perfect challenge for experienced trekkers who'd like to get a taste of high-altitude expedition mountaineering while pushing their physical and mental limits to the edge.
